St. Vincents Primary School

Fundraising

We like to create awareness and foster compassion towards others by supporting some very worthwhile charities throughout the school year.

Team Hope Christmas Shoe Box Appeal

Every year in November the pupils and staff of St Vincent’s begin the festive cheer early by gift wrapping empty shoe boxes  to be filled with lovely gifts for vulnerable children around the world. Families donate very generously every year to this worthy cause.

Carol Singing at Christmas

The beautiful singing voices of St Vincent’s pupils can be heard on the streets of Cork city and Blackpool shopping centre in the build up to Christmas. With funds raised, St Vincent’s makes donations to Cork based charities such as Penny Dinners and The Simon Community.

Daffodil Day

Each year in March we support Daffodil Day in aid of the Irish Cancer Society. Pupils create daffodil artwork which is displayed around the school spreading hope and joy. Staff hold an annual coffee morning and pupils take part in a non-uniform day to raise funds for this very worthy cause.
